Our overarching food brief is to create good value, innovative and exceeding expectation menu of dishes while featuring our beers and ciders heavily throughout our menus and specials boards. We have even developed a number of bespoke products with local producers using our own beer that we can use in our kitchens; including Butcombe Blonde ice cream with Granny Gothards in Somerset, Butcombe beer chutneys, relishes and pickles with Rose Farm in Wrington (a few miles from the brewery), Beer/cider cured mackerel, herrings and salmon with Severn & Wye Smokery in Gloucestershire, and Ashton Press Cider and chorizo salami with Somerset Charcuterie Company.
We source great British produce and local where possible. And quality always comes first. We’re really lucky that our suppliers share the same values as us – from providing full traceability and provenance on all our sourced meats, using only sustainably caught fish, and ensuring all our veg products are delivered in reusable or recyclable containers – our suppliers are with us every step of our food journey.
