Dreams are a funny thing. Sometimes they’re big, other times they’re small – like adverts being the same volume as the programme they interrupt or a kettle which keeps water hot.
There’s one dream that unites us all, however. A dream that, if only we could achieve, we might live a whole and complete life. That dream, of course, is naming a beer.
Well, you’re in luck because we’ve teamed up with Bristol Food Connections to offer one fortunate individual the chance to name our festival beer, as well as winning a whole host of Butcombe-based goodies.
The beer in question is a hoppy 3.8%, vibrant session pale ale. Light amber in colour and made using Challenger, WGV and Fuggles hops for a spicy, well-balanced flavour, it’s rounded off by Maris Otter barley for a nice maltiness to the beer. Quite simply, it’s the ultimate summer ale and you’ll get the first taste of our exciting concoction.
We’ve made the beer, now you need to name it. Simply head to the Bristol Food Connections website and enter a few details alongside your answer and you could see your beer emblazoned on taps across Bristol.
That’s not your only prize though as you’ll also be treated to a VIP tour of the Butcombe Brewery, some free merch, a couple of mini kegs of our finest beers and 2 tickets to the launch of Bristol Food Connections in June!
We think it’s a great prize, but it’s not our only contribution to Bristol Food Connections 2019. In addition, we’re sponsoring the city-wide food and drink event and donating 10p from every single pint sold to Bristol Food Connections 2020, to help create and fund dozens of exciting community events for the city.
It’s our way of celebrating the city we love so dearly and giving back to the communities which make Bristol such a wonderful place to live and work. But if you’ve never been to Bristol Food Connections before, what can you expect?
Since launching in 2014, Bristol Food Connections has united Bristol under the banner of fresh, local and innovative food and drink. With hundreds of events going on throughout the city and countless bars, pubs and restaurants getting in on the act, it’s quickly become a highlight on the foodie calendar, and a huge success to boot.
Last year the city welcomed events like the Cream Tea Cruise, the World Food Passport and the Easton Garden Party as part of Bristol Food Connections and with more events happening this year than in any previous year, we’ve got high hopes for a truly unforgettable 2019 festival.
Running from the 12th to the 23rd of June, we’re truly thrilled to be a part of Bristol Food Connections.
