The New Year is upon us, and along with a return to the 9-to-5 and a few worried glances at our bank balances, there’s a world of a New Years resolution challenges out there to rejuvenate your body, shake yourself out of bad habits and develop a few good ones too.
All throughout January, we’ve pledged to support New Years resolution campaigns like Dry January, Veganuary, and Ultra Marathons (more on that in a later blog post). That’s meant creating incredible non-alcoholic cocktail menus, introducing a raft of alcohol-free beers and building an incredible all-vegan specials menu, now available in a number of Butcombe managed pubs.
Of course, there is one January campaign which has a particular place in our hearts – Tryanuary.
Tryanuary is an annual nationwide campaign, founded in 2015, to inspire support for the UK beer industry by encouraging people to try new, innovative British beers. Run by volunteers, it’s a cause we’re more than happy to support. Butcombe proudly sponsor the Tryanuary campaign.
Innovative British brewing is something that’s in our DNA. Ever since we got started back in 1978, we’ve been leading the British independent brewing scene with a focus on traditional brewing, designed to highlight the strengths of the natural ingredients we use.
We’re thrilled to support Tryanuary throughout January, but it’s more than mere lip service as we’ve launched a limited-edition beer for the occasion – the appropriately named Tryanuary.
For those intrepid local-brewing fans who take the trip down to one of our Butcombe managed pubs or any of our other stockists in January, they’ll be treated to a truly delightful British ale.
Tryanuary is a full-bodied winter warmer, brewed with the finest English Maris Otter and toasted malts to craft a beer which offers a gorgeous, distinctive bright reddish-brown hue.
On the tongue, Tryanuary reveals itself to be an exceptionally easy drinking ale, one that’s hopped with Challenger and Target hops to add notes of spice, ideal for helping you draw up those vital goals for 2019. At 4.1% though, you might want to hold off from making any decisions which are too big. Or, at least until the morning.
So, why not come visit your local Butcombe pub this January? Our pubs are found throughout the south and south-west and offer stunning charm, incredible food, gorgeous, locally brewed beers and more friendly faces than you can shake a stick at – though we’d prefer if you left the stick at home.
British brewing has gone from strength to strength over the last four decades since our intrepid founder began our journey and, with your support, it can only grow stronger still.
So, to all those bold flavour hunters, local-business supporters and high-quality ale lovers, we salute you and wish you a truly glorious Tryanuary and a very happy New Year.
