History: The village of Long Ashton, situated
on the South Western fringe of Bristol, has a centuries
old tradition in the art of cider making. The National
Fruit and Cider Institute, based at the Long Ashton
Research Station, enjoyed 100 'fruitful' years . . .
. what a sad coincidence that the closure of this great
facility in 2003 coincided with the centenary celebrations.
Long live Ashton Press.
At last . . . . a premium quality cider
that tastes of apples!
