Butcombe Brewing Co. is part of Liberation Group which consists of over 100 pubs, bars and inns with rooms, stretching across South West England and into the Channel Islands, employing over 900 people. We’re very proud of our eclectic and unique estate, each venue with its own distinctive style and feel, focused on what works best for that site and their local area.
Based in the South West, Butcombe Brewing Co. has a state of the art brewery in Wrington, Bristol and a multi-million pound distribution and bottling plant in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Though we like our food and drink to do the talking, it’s always great to receive some accolades. For three years running we’ve won the highly prestigious Publican Award for Best Food Offer and in 2022 we won the Best Managed Pub Co. and Best Accommodation Operator. Two of our pubs have also won AA Rosettes; The Langford Inn and The Methuen Arms. Both the Butcombe and Liberation breweries have won multiple gold medal awards in recent years.
FUTURE PLANNING
We have bold plans to develop our estate by proactively acquiring new sites and continuing to develop our existing ones. With the acquisition of 22 new pubs in 2022 and sever major refurbishment and investments, we are well on our way to achieving this.
OUR TEAMS
Focusing on our most important asset – our people – is at the centre of our strategy. We continue to invest in training and development for all colleagues, ranging from wine champions to apprenticeships, and our very own internal learning management system. Perks of the job?
