Launched in December 2005 as the “ Official Beer “ for Brunel 200…the year long 2006 celebrations to mark the great man’s 200th birthday. The beer has been so well received that Butcombe Brunel IPA will return as the Brewery’s Winter Beer, available from October to March annually.
Nose: A stonking malty blast, infused with a predominantly Golding’s hop character.
Palate: Dry, hoppy, full bodied with a bitter sweet finish…Dangerously Drinkable!
Comments: Brunel and his fellow engineers challenged our sense of what was possible and in doing so, changed the face of the world. Butcombe Brewery has produced an authentic IPA at 5% abv in celebration of the life, work, and legacy of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Butcombe brunel is our winter beer and will be available in cask, poly pins and mini tins from October to March.
Brunel bottles also available all year round.
